6BLOCKS

All six blocks are sewn and ready for placement. Brandi can arrange the blocks to suit her, when she is visiting. Borders will be added and then off to the longarm shop. I am thinking blowing snow longarm pattern for this.
I plan to finish up in time for vacation delivery in Oct.

theBLUES

Brandi and Richard need a quilt to donate to the church auction. Snowflakes are the theme of the sale this year. This is block 1 cut out of Fabric Group A.
There will be five more fabric patterns added to the mix for Fabric Group B.
Snowflakes and Reindeer....

germanJOHNSON

Canning day at the farm
. My German Johnson tomatoes are ripe and ready for canning.
Brandi thinks she can't make tomato soup if she doesn't have home grown tomatoes.
One hour to blanch and peel with the help of my trusty side kick Mark. Three hours to pack and process.
There you have it, 15 lovely quarts of tomatoes ready for the trip to Buffalo. We still have plenty on the vines if you want to stop by.....

summerSTUFF

My summer flowers are looking good.
The German Johnson tomatoes are just starting to turn their lovely pink color.
The grape vine is loaded with grapes for the critters, we never get any.
The storm that swept through with 3 inches of rain and high wind, broke three limbs in the redwood tree. Mark had to trim out the broken limbs. It looks pretty stupid now. At least I can see out to the old dog pen now. You never know when a coon will sneak in the yard through the back fence to torture Katie Kate!

You just never know when you are going to need a kids quilt.

doggyBEDS

Yayyyy! for the SPCA in Minot, ND.
Due to the recent floods in Minot many home owners had to leave their homes. Unable to take their pets with them in many cases, the SPCA stepped in and is taking care of them until their owners return.
Fleece dog beds were needed for the many animals living in crates. Needless to say the quilting girls have to help! And need I mention we are all pet lovers too.
Tuesday morning our Virginia dog beds will head to Minot to help out.
Can't sew you say? Send money, everybody has to eat!!!!!!!!!!

My summer flowers are looking good but my tomato did not last the deer feeding fest.
Click on the picture and you can see for your self that my Roma tomato plant was loaded with nice tomatoes. Then came the deer! They ate every last tomato on the bush...
