WHEW!

Wow! All three Gingerbread Men quilts are complete. The kids picked out the fabric and pattern when they were visiting in June. I cut and sewed the first quilt and realized the border they picked did not match the first quilt. So, I cut two more. Why two more quilts, you ask? First of all Brandi wanted the blue border on her quilt so I needed to add a blue fabric in the mixture. Second, Connie, Brandi's mother-in-law, reads my blog and loves the fabric so we decided to make on for Connie for Christmas.
Now you wonder if this is going to spoil the Christmas surprise. No, the kids gave Connie her quilt yesterday so she and Rick can enjoy if for the entire holiday season. No need to get a Christmas quilt on Christmas day if it's ready in November. At least that was my thinking.
The quilts started out to be a nice throw size but after Brandi added 12 inches of borders the quilt covers the top of a queen size bed.
My friend Cindy embroidered the names and dates on each quilt for me.
All in all I think all three quilts are lovely.
Oh, the third quilt goes to the couple about to be wed in Texas.
