mardiGRAS

When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a UPS driver delivering not toys but King Cake. Yes, Mardi Gras is here!
Shipped fresh from LA. it's a King Cake delivered straight my door step.
The King Cake Tradition-
The Mardi Gras season begins on Jan. 6, or King's Day, also referred to as the Epiphany or Twelfth Night, marks the meeting of the Three Wise Men and the infant Jesus. It has become tradition to celebrate King's Day and Mardi Gras season by sharing a delicious king cake. King cake is an oval-shaped cake that is made of gourmet cinnamon dough, iced and decorated with sugars in the Carnival colors of purple (for justice), green ( for faith), and gold (for power) A tiny, plastic baby representing the infant Jesus is inserted into the cake. Tradition holds that the person who gets the piece with the baby in it is obligated to bring the king cake to the next party. The Mardi Gras season comes to a close on Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday.
(On the box)Disclaimer- Due to the potential hazard, we cannot insert the baby Jesus into the king Cake prior to shipping. Instead, the baby Jesus is placed in the center ring of each cake so that you can insert the baby Jesus yourself.
My, my this cake is good! If you are up my way, stop by for a piece.
Brandi, you out did yourself on this one.

Dear Katie Kate,
You need to come and live in my house. It's a zoo too but they don't make you wear silly costumes and ear muffs here. I will try not to bite your head off if you come to live here..Raven

Katie's costume is a hoot, but she wears it well! That king cake should become a tradition, what a cake!
