snowflakesarefallingonmyHEAD

Can you believe it's March? Snow started falling around 5 p.m., that's when I took the first photo. Pups were out at 5:45 p.m. and the last picture at 5:55 p.m. Snow is falling fast. 3 to 5 inches are expected. You just never know with a noreaster what will happen. It looks pretty.
Guess I can sew all day tomorrow.......

buttermilkPIE

Our monthly quilting day has arrived. Coasters, Christmas quilt, Flower of the Month, Sea Creatures and Origami Bags round out the collection. Believe it or not we actually cut and sewed today. Of course lunch is always the highlight of the day. Ginny made her famous Buttermilk Pie and if that wasn't enough a Peanut Butter Pie too. Boy, were they good. Sky wanted to dive in the pie but due to her recent stomach blockage, pie is a no no. Great ideas, great projects and great friends to share them with. What more could you ask for!

pillowcasesinPARADISE

Fabulous pillow cases by The Happy Quilters of Chesterfield. Bright colors and a variety of themes made up the group. Crayons, card games, markers, stickers etc. filled the pillow cases for the kids at the cancer center. Great job girls!

intheMAKING

Daisy Chain fabric by Amy Butler is the hot new print for spring. Fatty, fatty 2 x 4 pattern features large 12 inch blocks and small 3 1/2 inch blocks within a block. Green, blue, brown and navy flower prints are the patterns selected for the next Sable quilt top. A soft flannel backing will complete the project.
The great plaid jumped in my arms at Jojo's last sale. Nice bright colors for the guest room twin bed. Blocks and strips will make this a fast and easy quilt to sew.

Pillowcase contest sponsored by Happy Quilters of Chesterfield. After a quick sewing lesson I made a pillowcase with flying cats on it. Later we went to Michaels and purchased toys for the children at the hospital and filled the pillowcase . By Eli
