welcometotheJUNGLE

The quilt holder is home so we have pictures of the Laurel Burch Jungle top to add to the photo collection. Now you can see how the top and bottom will look.
Jody, the longarm quilting princess, will quilt elephants in to the pattern. Can't wait!
This is going to the Waldorf School Fall Festival Sale in Chapel Hill, NC. Hope it brings in a nice donation for them.

figgyTREES

Figgy pudding Christmas trees.
The tree pattern is fun to cut and sew. I am thinking one square for the front and one square for the back of a tote. A bit of framing may be needed to get the correct size. The blocks finish out at 8 1/2 inches.
The Laurel Burch Jungle flannel is finally here! After months of waiting for my jungle print, I was not disappointed . It is bright and bold. It will look great on the back of the jungle quilt.
Pictures of the top when the quilt holder is home.

g-men2

Gingerbread men number two. The blue added throughout the quilt makes the world of difference with the borders. Now they match, imagine that. Panel pieces add a nice touch to the corners. Thanks Cindy for the nice personal touch of embroidery. The kids will love it.

skylovesBLUEBERRIES

Time for the gang to get together for Labor Day. Chicken, mac and cheese, potatoes, shrimp salad and Ukrops pies. Never a food shortage with this group. Matt filled us in on the up coming football season. First Monacan JV game is Thursday. Go Team! Sky decided to try dessert on the dining room table, blueberry pie filling seem to suit her. Later she went back to check for crumbs and leftover blueberry filling stuck to the tablecloth. The girls took the quilt tour upstairs while the boys watched a game. A fun time had by all. Next event, Mike and Janet's place in Oct., theme, fair food. Where is Mark you ask?

tomandJERRY

The birthday and wedding gift quilts are done
The polar bears are the backing for Tom and Jerry. The longarm pattern called Deb's Swirls make the snow swirl around the bears and put Tom and Jerry in motion.

newTILE

My sister is at it again

Never a "dull" minute at my sister's place. First she painted the den and dining area. Then she changed her mind about the color and painted again. Of course she hung the lovely quilted wall hanging that her sister made her for all to see when the paint dried.
Off to the bedroom. Painted lavender because her sister made her a quilt with lavender and purples. Okay, Gaye picked out the fabric, all I did was put it together. Nice.
My sister never shopped on ebay until she found this great tile. Good price, free shipping. Who could resist. Fabulous colors. Click on the picture for a close up. Now, I know you are asking yourself, are these two girls related. Gaye's house full of bright colors and mine a nice Pale Parchment. To each his own, I believe the saying goes.

It looks mar-va-lus!
