Bags are done. This fabric has been passed down for generations and will make nice gifts for two daughter-in-laws and three grandchildren.
Check out the quilted pockets.

tistheSEASON

We decided to quilt the front pocket of each bag so I thought outlining the flower design with the free motion foot would be fun.

Tis the season to learn a new skill! Lucy decided to give the Janome with the free motion foot a try. Wow! She did a great job.

The free motion foot turns out to be quite fun for Lucy. Watch out girls, Lucy will be quilting everything in sight now.
Click on the picture for a closer look.

Art quilt class with Diana.

Diana is the master instructor when it comes to quilts. When you want to learn something new Diana is the one to call. The group wanted to learn how to construct art quilts so we got together at the farm for several classes.
As you can see we started with the background.
The Ginko leaves will be added later when the quilting is done.

As you can see my free motion quilting is coming along.
I like a nice tight stitch on my background.

bambi

Mark popped the big one this morning. Actually he took him out with the bow because he had a broken front leg. If you click on and enlarge the photo you can see the broken front leg.
The deer is around 8 to 10 years in age and only had a few front teeth left.
